Sonos, the maker of high-end, connected stereo systems loved by discriminating audiophiles everywhere, finally offers Apple Music starting today.
The company began testing the streaming-music offering in December but as of this morning Apple Music joins Spotify, Amazon, Google and every significant streaming music service on Sonos’ Wifi-connected speakers.
Apple Music is the company’s music subscription service, which launched last summer. As noted by Re/code, Sonos was “conspicuously absent” from Apple Music’s compatible devices at launch. Why Apple lagged so far behind in coming to Sonos is unclear, but now Sonos owners can enjoy the excellent sound quality from the company’s “smart” speakers while listening to whatever music service they choose.
